The Latest Fear

Well it’s really simple actually. We are people who came across each other in life with the same dreams, ambitions, and fears. Our name, The Latest Fear, comes from exactly that. In life we all have to overcome our fears, jump over hurdles, push ourselves against all obstacles and as life goes on, we overcome these fears as new ones emerge.And who says paper flyers don’t work? That’s how lead singer Leitza Santin met guitarist Oscar Moncada. The result was an immediate blending of musical tastes and passion to rock! Leitza & Oscar began writing and recording songs based around infectious guitar riffs and heartfelt lyrics with intense vocals. The addition of bassist Sergio and drummer Sam, gave The Latest Fear the driving rhythm section needed to complete the sound and propel the songs.Our sound is edgy, fun and powerful. Our goal playing live is to convey the passion and emotion we feel about our music to the audience. We believe music should move you, physically and emotionally!!! Our style is rock sexy, edgy, chic.The lyrics come from lead singer Leitza’s experiences as a singer, actress & model. “You constantly have to put yourself out there and let people judge you. A lot of my songs come from those experiences, overcoming and becoming stronger from them and moving on. Passion is what keeps me going. All we want to do is play, be seen, and be heard!”
