We're All In This Together (WAITT) is a charity organisation that raises money for the Alzheimer's Society whilst promoting unsigned bands from across the UK.
Since the inception of WAITT in late 2007 by Andy Havard, with the devoted help of friends, family and musicians alike, word of the organisation spread rapidly between both bands and fans, and the first edition 'We're All In This Together: Volume One' is now available for just £5.00. The CD features sixteen tracks of the very best unsigned talent from the West Midlands, from the likes of Birmingham-based iSPYSTRANGERS to Solihull's own Dynamite Dreams. 2008 will see gigs and local events featuring all the bands involved, and more, with the hope of a second CD fresh for 2009, where WAITT will look to help multiple charities.
70% of each sale goes to The Alzheimer's Society. The remaining 30% is re-invested for use in arranging live performances and further WAITT albums.
Andy Havard: "With the help of everyone involved, we hope to make a big difference to hundreds of people's lives with the 1st edition of 'We're All In This Together' and hope to make it bigger and better for 2009. The idea of our cause is to spread the word on unsigned talent from the UK and raise money, and awareness for worthy charities and causes, such as the Alzheimer's Society. With the help of others, anything is possible, and by bringing out an annual CD, with a host of gigs in support, we can all help to make a big difference to so many people's lives."
