About Me

I was raised in California my whole life. Now I'm in a strange, foreign land... North Carolina.
...I don't think they're ready for me, heh heh.
My name is Anthony. Some folks call me different variations and pronunciations of Istocuos; some folks call me Monkey. A friend at work calls me Ant Diggity; certain individuals in my guild call me 'Twan. A few, select people know me as Ugongo. I am seventy five percent Chinese, and a quarter Thai. Add up the parts, and you get one hundred percent human.
I like to hang out and chill. Being happy and enjoying life is what I do.
Food is good. Eating is one of the greatest joys in life. I have a soft spot for chocolate milk shakes and cake. Not just any cake, mind you... it has to be the guava flavored cake from Aki's Bakery. Yum.
Music saved my life once. I owe her big time for being there for me in the past. Most other girls give me funny looks, and would rather not talk to me. But Music... she likes me. She likes me a lot.
I've always believed that the Golden State Warriors were going to make the playoffs. Maybe not now, but someday. My pops used to watch the Warriors a whole bunch before he passed on. I guess I picked it up from him. His favorite player was Tim Hardaway. He would always be mesmerized by his crossover. I tried it once. It didn't look pretty.
Goooooooooo A's. In my eyes, that's the best baseball team ever. The funny thing is I think I became an A's fan by accident. I was around nine at the time, and I was looking for something on TV to watch. My fingers kept pressing the up button, and eventually I stumbled upon a baseball game. I have no idea why I stopped pressing the up button, but I stopped and watched. It was the A's versus the Rangers. Carney Lansford was up to bat. He worked his way to a single. I found that mesmerizing. And I ended up watching the whole game. The A's won. And I became an A's fan.
The only reason I played World of Warcraft as long as I did is because of the friends I made in that game. Soljah For Life.
I try not to pass judgment before I really get to know a person. Basically, you're a cool person unless you prove yourself to be an asshole. I like meeting new people. Sometimes I catch myself being too goofy around people I don't know. Why do I do this? It's a way to show them that I'm a friendly person. I guess it stems from having a genuine interest in people. Different people have different ideas, styles, and opinions. Even though I may not agree with their ideals, sometimes it's good to hear things from a different perspective. It keeps my mind open.
I've been single throughout my whole life. The closest I've ever been to getting a girlfriend was in third grade and in seventh grade. In third grade, the girl that I really liked hated me after I forgot to bring her a chocolate chip cookie. I brought her one the next day, but she took it and threw it in the trash. I was pretty bummed. And in seventh grade, there was a girl that I always kinda sorta hung out with. She used to hang with a bunch of friends that I hung out with. I'd always smile and stuff when I seen her, but I couldn't talk to her for some reason. Was I scared? I guess you can say that. I transferred to another district during high school, so I never saw her again until college. I ran into her while I was running to class, and we talked for a little while. After the initial conversation, we caught up a little between classes here and there. Turns out that she liked me, too, back in seventh grade (whether she liked me or "liked me" remains to be seen...). Talk about a missed oppurtunity. I remember her being really cute then; when i saw her again in college, that cuteness just multiplied by ten hundred thousand million kazillion. I'm not even fazed though, regardless of those missed chances that I had. The way I see it is that some girl will just walk into my life someday. Right now, by being single, I can explore the world, hang out with friends, consume large quantities of alcohol, and goof off in peace.
Good times, good times.
I guess that's me in a nutshell.
Oh yeah... if anyone is in the Oxnard area, and you like chicken, go to a place called Broasted. I am a new fan of the place, and I'm going to collect 10,000 signatures to petition the owners to open up a Broasted in the Bay.
