About Me

Untitled Document

I'm a lost little girl who was born at the wrong time. I was meant for a much gentler era than this one. All I really want to do is travel the world, eat yummy food, have fun and meet interesting people. So simple. American Society is an unhealthy mess. An intricate web based on lies and greed. The worst qualities of humanity have taken hold of the government and economy and run it into the ground. The reason we're all getting cancer, diabetes, other degenerative diseases is because we pump ourselves full of unnatural substances on an hourly basis. We overindulge, cause the problem and then search for a cure to the problem from the greedy pharmaceutical companies. We pay for our own destruction. And the corporations thrive. On a lighter note, I like puppies.

I'm not that cynical and evil really. Sometimes, I just go on tangents. This country is still fantastic in comparison to the majority of nations in this world, but you have to admit the culture is sick. I'm grateful I have food, shelter... and the internet, so don't get me wrong, but something is a little bit askew here. That's all for now. I'll try to blog my tangents in the future. ..

ICK!!!! This profile needs a major makeover!!!

Music:

the three musical artists i love most and would choose to take with me on a desert island would be some beethoven, radiohead, and beatles. radiohead is hands down my favorite band of all time. they are chosen for the same reasons i have chosen my favorite movie-stunning (to the ears of course), brilliant, complex, and moving. the rest i love (but just a little less): beck, bowie, bjork, prodigy, the cure, coldplay, depeche mode, elliot smith, elton john, fatboy slim, fiona apple, flaming lips, interpol, billy joel, joni mitchell, nada surf, nirvana, outkast, pearl jam, pink floyd, queen, regina spektor, shins, sigur ros, smashing pumpkins, sting, tears for fears, some tori amos, u2, weezer and really many others that escape me at the present

Movies:

here is a mix of favorites at different ages as well as current and all-time favorites: eternal sunshine, the little mermaid (when I was like 8), troop beverly hills, braveheart, life is beautiful, raiders of the lost ark, edward scissorhands, full metal jacket, elizabeth, amelie, donnie darko, american beauty, gladiator, good will hunting, dancer in the dark, magnolia, mulholland drive, the princess bride, spaceballs, office space, true romance.... lately i love weird/interesting combined with beautiful.

Television:

scrubs, conan, daily show, simpsons, south park, boston legal, ali g, arrested development;guilty:days of our lives, nip/tuck, classics: alvin and the chipmunks, muppet babies, She-Ra, and Full House

Books:

a wrinkle in time, the vampire chronicles, a clockwork orange, holographic universe, the prophet, einstein’s dreams, brave new world, 1984, how to build a time machine in 3 easy steps

Heroes:

Geniuses. (Or is it Genii?) Everyone from Albert Einstein to Kurt Cobain. With a few exceptions: ie Hannibal Lecter. But you have to admit, even he's pretty cool. Oh, and Cesar- the Dog Whisperer deserves special mention-that man is F-ing genius.
