I like music (one would assume a musician would), progressive politics, cooking, reading, education, watching movies, and I recently got my bicycle fixed up and I plan to start riding a lot. I've also lately been very interested in meditation and would like to start doing it. I've been interested in Buddhist (particularly Zen) metaphysics for a while now, the next step is to put my money where my mouth is and actually begin meditating (however, it is not something that you can easily just "pick up," it takes discipline and time). While I'm not a religious person at all, I do consider myself to be very spiritual (a little known fact about me).
I would really like to meet Maria Schneider. Her music is phenomenal and she seems like she would be a real interesting person to talk to. I also would like to meet Paul Simon.
I'm always interested in meeting new people, but if I don't know you in person I'm not interested in adding you to my friends list until we've met. Sorry.

I don't have any TV reception at my house, so I can't watch it. However, my roommates and I are fond of watching television on DVD. I love to watch Family Guy, The Simpsons (this show will always have a special place in my heart), South Park and Arrested Development (a very hilarious yet unappreciated show).
I don't mind not having TV, but I do miss watching Law and Order and watching nerd channels (OPB, History Channel, Discovery Channel, etc.)
After much protest as I am a snob and don't like a lot of things that are popular, I finally gave into reading the Harry Potter series. I will be the first to admit that I was wrong. Harry Potter kicks ass. I burned through the series in a week. I usually enjoy to read a good classic, but I have been reading a lot on Buddhism lately.
The character "Gob Bluth" from the show Arrested Development.
My brothers and sisters in arms who are willing to lay their lives on line for the security of others regardless of whether or not they support the conflict they are fighting in.
