There will be time to prepare a face to meet the faces that you meet...

About Me

How much must be changed for a tale to be fiction? Is it possible to fade away to nothing without being noticed? Could she hang the idea-of-her upon the coat rack and walk away before anyone noticed? What would they say once they saw she had left? Would they send search teams out for her, set the dogs loose? Or would they understand that all she wanted was a quiet drowning that would make Virginia proud? Perhaps they would take it as a personal affront, a rejection of the most intimate nature. But they won't accept that this is simply her nature. It is her nature to faintly grin as the cigarette smoke licks her eye-lashes; her nature for her eyes to mist, but she is not sure if it is the smoke, or some distant person she never was. But oh, what she wouldn't give for Houdini to take the spotlight. "How can they see with sequins in their eyes?" And as she slips on out, alcoholics and prostitutes shoving their way in, all anyone notices is the faint breeze rustling from where she just was. Perhaps she is trapped, a Scheherazade, bound to peripheral vision. You know she could never leave you fully, even if you will never see her again. She longs to escape, but is bound by space and time to a world she never belonged to in the first place. One day, perhaps, you will see her, but it will be too late.

My Interests

Delving into that which should not be delved and refuting the irrefutable to establish an outline of where exactly we stand. Being a poetic egoist (NOT egotist) that I may better understand the relationships between you and me, here and now, and what may never be - exploring these and so many other dimensions in relation to me and where I stand. Emotion, Creation, Passion - my Muses Three.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone else littering about, escaping to the worlds they can never touch, the songs they can never sing, and the pages that will never be filled.View All Friends | View Blog | Add Comment

My Blog

A 1-year subscription to an identity would do nicely, and a matching pen

Well, I was going to write about having a virtual job and the pros and cons of it (including my pervasive fear of getting office butt), but it started to turn more into a bitching session, and that's ...

Communicating Syl-a-bles at hyperspeed

Differences in communication styles always trip me up.  We've all experienced this: we ask a person a question, and they completely misinterpret what we say.  We repeat/rephrase the question...

The Malaprop vs The Neologist

There are night when I lay/lie awake thinking of where I've wanted to be.  An ambitious opportunist fearing Alegra's plant metaphors.  If I had a daughter, I would name her Datura, a son - C...

Tori a sell-out?

Okay, this has been a bit difficult for me, but after 7+ years of devoted Tori Amos fan-ship, I think it's coming to a close. The impetus? Tori's decision to not come to New Zealand, even after expand...

That's right.  I said it - FUCK YOU TORI.  You may be asking what on earth could possess a clearly avid fan to turn his back on one of his biggest inspirations and sources of comfort?  ...
