Orange Whip Productions promotes live music in the Lincoln, Nebraska area. Started in the fall of 2000, OWP has promoted and co-promoted hundreds of local, regional and national acts, mostly in Lincoln. Everything from metal (Lamb of God, Mudvayne, Superjoint Ritual, etc.) to hip-hop (Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, 2 Live Crew, Killer Mike, etc.) to jam bands (Derek Trucks Band, Tony Furtado, Gov't Mule, etc.) to hair bands (Warrant, Faster Pussycat, Ratt, etc.) to "indie" (The Mooney Suzuki, Clem Snide, Rye Coalition, etc.) to pure cheese (Tiffany, Jordan Knight, The Fixx, etc.) to "pop-punk" (Starting Line, All-American Rejects, Fall Out Boy, etc.) to just plain old rock-n-roll (Superdrag, Jet, Bo Diddley, Roger Clyne + the Peacemakers, etc.). All the highs and the lows, from hosting the very first Blue October arena headlining show to promoting a 3-band bill opened up by a band named Fall Out Boy and attended by only 40 people, Orange Whip is going on its 7th year.
