As Reality Fades

As Reality Fades was formed in the Spring of 2005 as a project to Scott Hoon and Lance Binkley for the reasons of wanting to have a metal project in Scott's case and to further experience in the latter's. The two began work with the later known "Gorgeous Snow Angel", where Scott did all guitar, bass, drum machine programming, recording, mixing and production. Lance would write lyrics, do vocals and help in the creative process. Then keeping with the same responsibilities after "Gorgeous..." was completely finished they moved onto "Leftover Photos", "Catatonic", "Golden Dawns" and lastly "Repressed". After slight changes were made, things were polished off and a spoken word part was added before "Catatonic" it was finished up in the early Summer of 2005.
What resulted was unique Progressive Metal that could have only come from such varied influences such as Opeth, Lamb Of God, Pig Destroyer, Meshuggah, Cannibal Corpse, Van Halen, My Dying Bride and many others. And though as great as the whole thing was(and hopefully the music) it shall only live on albums and profiles to sites. For no live performances were ever given nor will anymore material be recorded with the project.
