Don't talk about it, be about it, peace --Mos Def

About Me

I'm still discovering new things all the time so it's really quite impossible to say what I'm about. Maybe I'm just about discovering new things and being open to adapting the way I think as life experiences dictate that. I'm actually happy that I haven't figured it all out because if I ever got to that point, I am not sure what I would have to live for.Anyway, In January, I got involved with this awesome organization called "Agents of Change" and have seen it develop so rapidly and there is no end in sight. In May, there will be 22 of us riding our bikes from Canada to Mexico all to fight poverty. Most recently, however, I find myself (after a temporary hiatus) immersed back into the music scene that was such an important part of my development. The idea of promoting shows as a part time job seems really appealing because I'd rather work for myself than have a boss breathe down my neck, tell me what to do and when to do it, and insult my intelligence or bring it down. And I can raise awarness about really talented musicians in the process.I'm not really sure what I will come across next. Obviously I'm gonna do a bit of traveling in June. I also think I might like to do a triathalon some day, especially now that I'm starting to appreciate the joy of biking.

My Interests

Opportunities to travel anywhere I can, cooking, the satisfaction of cooking for someone else, eating, going to concerts, spending time with my friends and meeting new ones, photography, California, the Buffalo Sabres, camping, relaxing on the beach, learning new things.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who doesn't play themselves up or down. Someone who realizes that we are all just people, no better or worse than anyone else. Sure we all have different talents, visions, and shortcomings, but I want to meet someone who feels comfortable not having to isolate themselves by attempting to look and sound more mystical and sophisticated than everyone else. An individual, not a member of a group who spends their entire life analyzing and categorizing every action, thing, and person they encounter. We all have a unique story to tell and I'd like to meet up with you for a pint of beer or a cup of coffee and hear yours.

I have more aliases than you

I was talking to someone the other day about all the nicknames I have been given over the years. This inspired me to reflect on the past and consider a historical timeline and evolution of my name. ...
