As a teenager I discovered the world of Hip Hop and I started collecting records and DJing. Hence my interest in music production grew. Especially the aspect of the sound and the way how to get a specific sound caught my attention. At this time my dream to become a professional audio-engineer arose. Although I realized pretty soon it would be very hard to achieve this, I stuck on it.
My first step was to attend the one-year electronic music producer course at SAE College, Munich. Afterwards I had the strong wish to get a full education and to deepen my knowledge in this field. Therefore I have started the electrical/audio engineering program at the University of Technology and the University of Music in Graz (Austria) in 2004.
This degree is focusing on combining electrical engineering with audio and acoustics. It offers basic audio engineering lessons and gives us the opportunity to work in a professional surrounding, such as recording an orchestra. Unfortunately the expenditure of time on this aspect is limited, but I keenly spend my free time to increase my knowledge in the field of recording music.
Through the studies I have the opportunity to get piano lessons and mingle with a lot of musicians. This gives me the possibility to work on and improve my recording and mixing skills. It also let me discover new music genres, such as jazz, world music, metal, etc. I have already done various assistant jobs at Uphon Studio Weilheim (Germany) during the recordings of the bands ‘Fertig,Los!’ and ‘Aimee Cares’ with the prospect of doing more in the future.
So, if anybody needs some beats, some music mixed or a very keen audio engineer do not hesitate to contact me.
