Let's see, what can I say about me??? I'm the girl who grew up being what everyone around wanted me to be. Not anymore, now I am me, love me or hate me, doesn't make much difference to me! I LOVE ME and that is what matters!!
I'm 35 years old, I was born in Illinois, but being raised in a military family, I've lived many places!!! Spent my high school years in good 'ol Bellflower (or Hellflower as I like to call it) did the "party girl" thing for quite a while before becoming a mom & growing up. Went to college for a while, had every intention of becoming an addictions counselor, but, well...yeah....if you know my family at all, you know was much easier said than done (way too many unresolved issues there). I am now a supply sales executive in the office equipment industry. My daughter is now 15 years old & she is the most amazing person I know (yeah you really can raise a child to be different than you once were) I must say, we have a very unique relationship, we are so much alike it's almost scary. She is not only my daughter, she is one of my best friends. I love her more than life itself.
On a personal level, I am currently single, but would love to someday find my "Prince Charming". The most incredible guy I've ever known once told me to "never settle for anything less than the fairy tale", may have taken a while, but I finally know exactly what he meant. For that life lesson, I will forever love you John!!!
A bit of advice to any who may think they can be my "Prince", the bar has been set very high by "the ONE who got away". Getting to my heart may take ALOT of work & patience. Also, you have to be very understanding of the time I spend with my "kids", they mean the world to me!!! I may have only had one
but a few others are as close as if they were mine
A couple of the most important things I have learned in my life
1. NEVER hold a grudge (for too long) against someone for something stupid they may have done in the past. I believe everyone deserves a second chance (just don't let them play you the 2nd time)
2. Always cherish your family!!! They may be difficult, you might not get along, but what family does really? This one was hard for me, but I am working on it.
3. Be yourself, because at the end of the day, it's how you feel about yourself that matters more than what others think of you!!!
4. Live life to the fullest, because you never know what tomorrow may bring.
