In 1991 Roland Kenzo already discovered the “world of vinyl†apart and worked during this time under the name DJ D-Tronic. Like many other colleagues he began his career with playing on school parties or graduating ceremonies. But soon this was not effectual enough because he wanted to reach and inspire many people with his favourite-music and decided to realise his ideas at a radio station in Hamburg shortly after.
The project “Mind Wired-DJ Radio†was born. Since 1992 the show is regularly airing in Hamburg and adjacencies. After that the public called attention to his concept and one can say “Mind Wired†developed as an insider’s tip in the scene.
The most famous DJ..s town site came to the studio and “Mind Wired†became more and more popular. In the meantime Roland Kenzo and his associate Katrin are on the air with a new name – the radio transmission is called “Mind Wired Dance Live†and is broadcasting every Friday at 10 o’clock for two hours in Northern Germany on aerial, cable and of course in the internet worldwide. Furthermore the average audience amounts 3.000 per week with an upward trend! Reams of live guests for example Brooklyn Bounce, Lexy & K-Paul, Ziggy X, Boris Dlugosch, Timo Maas, Special D, DJ Dean, Conways, Shaun Baker, DJ Shog and many more decorate the history of „Mind Wired-Dance Live“. Roland Kenzo must not wait for a long time of getting the chance to play in one of the most famous clubs in Northern Germany – the former Unit, the Twilight in Hamburg. Afterwards he continuously played as a resident in the club “re-base†in Kiel.
It is also mentionable that he played on big Raves, for example Uforia, Alarmstufe Rot, Mind Wired Rave, Time Tunnel, Castle of the Knights in Griechenland, Generation Move,Vision Parade, Goliath etc. A number of scene-clubs like “Tunnel“, „Bambu“ and many more were also stations in the career of Roland Kenzo.
In 2003 he met the producer and ex -member of DJs @ Work – they converged and the project “Roland Kenzo†accrued. The first single „Listen-Feel-Enjoy“– „Lost in Time“ appeared on the label “Deep Mission Records“, entered the dance-charts without big promotion and became a little club-hit. According to his second single „Your Night" a video was prepared, which missed the opportunity of broadcasting in TV curtly.
During the time Roland Kenzo operated as a re-mixer for Oscar De La Fuente, Tooga Feat. Pit Bailay and Lazard. More over new projects were created, for example „United Beats“ on Andorfine Records together with DJ Manian (Cascada) and Alex Megane.
The own dance-project „Barcera“, which appeared on Andorfine Records in 2005 has the same handwriting of Roland Kenzo as producer and DJ. This project dropped the upper scopes of the dance charts. The highest positionings were: Sunshine Live 4, Austria 4, Germany 19 and Switzerland 19). In 2006 he produced the project “Alex Deluxe†and its third single “Love Behind†– “Never Stopâ€, which appeared on Mental Madness Records.
In 2007 he produced the project “SL-Tronic†with the track “99.9â€, which appeared on Aquabase Records and his 4th solo-single “Everlasting Love†on Mental Madness Records an the second single “Final Fantasy†for his project “Alex Deluxeâ€.
In the present day he is producing “Roland Kenzo“, “Barcera“ ,“United Beats“ and “SL-Tronicâ€. Certainly he wills going on with affording surprises…
