I'm not a Westone Dynasty, I'm a totally custom Westone with years of stories to tell, but I'll get to that a little later...
Due to years of hard living parts of my memory are hazy (like where my case went) but I still remember quite a few very interesting stories. Hopefully (with the help of friends) I can tell you more about my life when it comes back to me.
The first owner I can remember having was Vinny DiBianca. Vinny is a guitar god, If you don't believe me check out this link Guitar Heroes and click the "guitar heroes" link. Type in any true guitar hero and they'll be in there, Vinny's in there too...
Vinny's in a killer speed metal band from southern New Jersey called Vicious Circle . THEY KICK ASS!!!
I have vague recollections about a time Vinny and I were headed somewhere to totally shred the fuck out and there was a bad car accident... I was in my case between him and the dash and I kept him from flying through the windshield.
YEARS LATER
After that it's all a blank until I ended up at the Pennsauken Mart. I remember hanging there in the Trading Post between a Charvel Strat and a beat up Fender bass for a few days before some maniac came in and put a deposit on me. I remember when he saw me for the first time, it was hilarious!!! He spotted me from all the way across the store (he was headed for the car stereo section) and started squealing like a little girl while he jogged over to get a better look. He talked to the guy in the guitar section and left a deposit without even asking to play me.
He was back in a few days to pick me up, he bought me without ever really testing me out. He was obviously in love, he has had me ever since.
He is Tom Musick , he had no idea that when he finally got me home that there would be so many surprises in our future.
He took me in his apartment, cleaned me, and restrung me. When I was all ready to go he plugged me in and found out my bridge pickup was beat. He wasn't upset, he pulled a Hot Rail out of his Ibanez and fixed me up. Within a few minutes we were seriously pissing the neighbors off.
When his neighbor (also a guitar playing metal maniac) came home from work that night he took me over to show me off. It was a shock to all three of us that his neighbor was Vinny DiBianca, my previous owner.
Since Vinny pretty much played the frets off me I was a little worn out, Tom couldn't find the correct neck for a Dynasty so he ended up buying a neck for a Pantera X300. A Pantera neck has a slightly different neck joint so Tom had a friend (Dave Wright) mill off about 1/4 inch of material from the neck and it fit like a glove.
Since then Tom and I have been inseperable, he even used me to record a song called "Kingpin" on his other profile Tom Musick (band profile) in the music section.
There's also an interesting sidenote about those particular previous owners...
Would you believe Tom roadies for Vinny's band? It's a small world after all.
