Founded in March 2001, Bleeding Incorporated has developed over the years into an uncompromising, relentless, sonic force in today’s musical landscape. Bleeding Inc. was established upon the belief that music can be both devastatingly oppressive; yet contain elements of melody and structure that draw the listener.
Originally founded by guitarist Anthony DiVigenze, bassist Bill Cowgill, and drummer Elden Santos, the fledgling lineup began rehearsals as well as a search for a vocalist. The search ended with Tom Schrieber taking over vocal duties. The lineup produced their first EP, Abbreviation, in the Fall of 2002. Accompanying the EPs release was the relocation of the band to Orlando, Florida. Unfortunately, DiVegenze and Schrieber were unable to participate in the relocation and the search was on to find replacements. In 2003, guitarist Mike Ferrell (Spun) and vocalist JP Fardeau (Pathogen/Colostomy) stepped in and filled the vacancies. With this lineup the band put together another EP, which circulated the Orlando metal scene in 2004. Showing more focus and musical proficiency than the previous EP, the band quickly gained acclaim for their songwriting and vicious live show.
In Fall 2004, Mike Ferrell departed due to personal reasons and Jason Banning (Throe), took over guitar duties. The band continued on, crushing crowds show after show. It was apparent that as a 4-piece they were limited musically, so the decision was made to add another guitar to the mix. Jason Dyke, who played in Colostomy with JP, answered the call. The addition of Dyke’s influence brought a more progressive approach, while sacrificing none of the bands initial drive for heaviness and intensity. The lineup managed to produce another EP, this time with much more technical songs that showcased the bands progression.
In the winter of 2005, the band replaced Banning and Cowgill with Ron Williams on guitar and Allen Armistead on bass. However, this lineup was short lived and in September 2006, Adrian Latscu stepped in on bass. A slew of live shows followed, but by June 2007 Latscu and Williams were released from the band. Enter Fred Duarte and Ralph Rizzuto who both brought an instant upgrade in technicality and musicianship.
Their mission statement is simple - Destroy all listeners with a lethal mix of heaviness, melody, and originality. Make no mistake; Bleeding Inc. remains poised to make a bloody mark in the realm of metal.
