NO friend-adds without prior message or friendship

About Me

There's a lot about me at this profile already, and I tried to post one of those stupid surveys in here, but it looks like crap and takes up too much space on the main page, so I pulled it!

You can check out my blogs at An Animal-Friendly Life and ericprescott.com . I also have a CafePress store for An Animal-Friendly Life, if you want to check out the cool stuff I've put up for sale there.

And you can always message me to find out more or to see if we ought to be friends.

My Interests

Um, music, movies, the outdoors, ahimsa, health and fitness... A combination of any and all of those factors...

I'd like to meet:

Other industry people (including producers, cinematographers, editors, writers, actors, execs, etc.), people with money (let's talk viable projects), other vegans and vegetarians living in L.A. (maybe we can grab a meal at Native Foods, Real Food Daily, or whatever), other outdoorsy people who like to hit the beach for some volleyball, hit a tennis ball around, or go rock climbing at Hemet or camping and hiking at Joshua Tree at the drop of a hat!

But, just to be clear: NO friend requests unless I know you, you've contacted me already to get to know me better, or it's obvious we at least have a lot in common. I'm not interested in building my Friend List just for high numbers. I'd like to network with legitimate people. Thanks!

Music:

My AudioScrobbler page is here .

These are the 10 most recent tracks I've played on my iMac "music server":

I finally consolidated all my ripped tunes to that machine, adding up to just over 8400 songs. Only another few thousand more to rip... when I get a 'puter with a bigger hard drive some day.

Movies:

Ugh. Hard to pick favorites, but my tastes run eclectic... The Coen brothers, the Wachowski brothers, David O'Russell, David Fincher, James Cameron, Cameron Crowe, Steven Soderbergh, Michael Mann, Quentin Tarantino, Doug Liman, Paul Greengrass, Alejandro Gonzales Inarritu, Ridley Scott, Terry Gilliam, Wes Anderson, Charlie Kaufmann, Alexander Payne... That's good for now.

Television:

Battlestar Galactica, 24, Lost, Rescue Me, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, The Office.

Books:

Crap. I can't remember the last time I read a book for fun. Too damn busy. I used to read and collect Stephen King voraciously, but now I tend to read a lot of non-fiction stuff. On the nightstand right now is a Thoreau text on civil disobedience.

Download this free book for a life-changing experience:

Heroes:

Ghandi, Martin Luther King Jr., John Robbins. There's probably others, but I don't really idolize anyone. I find some people live lives that are inspirational, though.
