If you haven't noticed by the pics, I'm a DJ and electronic music producer. My forte is breaks, bass and electro. My influences vary through different facets of music, too many to list and my production is a reflection of my diversity. Every song I have written, produced, arranged or remixed sounds different. Music is an expression of emotion and the moment, and it all depends on how I'm feeling that moment or what I'm into that reflects the direction of my music.
The basic drum structure remains the same...It has to be a breakbeat, an electro beat, some bass and/or a combination of all. Although I mix electro house into my dj sets, straight beats are just not challenging enough for me as a production artist; I do reflect on the elements of house music for inspiration and drive my emotion for the creation of my sound, but the complexity and detail of broken beats are what drives me and hence drives the dancefloor.
I have been involved with music for over 18 years. My groundbreaking Florida based label "FreakinMusic" became a staple in breakbeat culture in the late 90's til the early millennium, turning out classics such as "Do You like The Bass", "Teenage America", and was the label that fronted "The Red Pill" by Scratch-d & H-Bomb.
I have also been involved in group projects with partners DJ Storm and BFX under the alias' of Sensei, Bros of Funk and Dub Species, and have acredited releases and remixes on Functional Breaks, Funk Wax, Thursday Club Recordings, Made From Concentrate, Moonshine and Big Bang Records. My music has been featured on mixed compilations by artist such as Rick West, Rob-E, Huda Hudia, Tayo & Rennie Pilgrem to name a few. My Dub Species remix of Trona's "Dangerous" on Moonshine was featured as part of the background for "Girls Gone Wild" presented on E! and I was the remix artist behind the promo only - Dangerous Breaks V.1 & V.2 which featured unreleased break mixes of "Rapture", "Castles in The Sky", "Ride Like The Wind", "Le Freak", "Angel" & "Your Eyes". My most memorable accomplishments would have to be the "Perfect Timing" cd compilation series that I programed and mixed with partner DJ Storm.
I have been hard at work, reestablishing my Freakin trademark, as well as developing my new sub label "Technocolor Sound Recordings". My debut release includes two progressive electro funk floor fillers, "Zito" and "Bassed Up (which was featured on the infamous "Future Sound of Breaks" compilation mixed by DJ Storm & Trevor Rockwell)". I also recently lent my hand in remixing "Attention Whore" by BFX for Made From Concentrate. My new sound embodies the hard hitting elements of electro fused with a nu skool undertone and uplifting synthesis. As a DJ, I can be described as powerful, technical and a definite crowd pleaser.
I currently hold a residency at Blue Martini Lounge in West Palm Beach, which over the years has become the Palm Beach trend setting hot spot. On any given Friday or Saturday night I'll blaze through only the best cutting edge house, dance, hip hop & reggae to record breaking crowds...the energy level is off the charts. I am also residing at Blue Martini in Ft. Lauderdale on Wednesdays (ladies night), off the chain, best ladies night in Lauderdale. In fact Blue Martini has been my established gig for the past 2 years and my time and performances have been concentrated with them. With the expansion of Blue Martini's in various areas in Florida as well as around the US, My primary focus and performances are and will be with Blue Martini. You may still catch me at various festivals such as Ultra, but any club appearances will be reserved for Blue Martini. I will soon be performing every Saturday night at the new Blue Martini in Miami.12" DISCOGRAPHY:
