Mighty Shakers

Mighty Shakers made their first outset and they struck the local scene in 1998. With main influences from the punk-rock and the rock’n’roll scenes of the 70’s, as well as the widespread spectrum of pure and straight rock, the band succeeded in making some of the most dynamic and highly energetic performances not only in Athens, but also in the rest of Greece. One of their most important performances was that in the Gagarin music space supporting the Detroit Cobras, the December of 2004. The year of 2005 started in a powerful way for the band, as they had their first release, “The Desert’s Bleeding” ep, which included two new and two formerly tracks, from the underground label of the Action High Recordings. Unfortunately, Mighty Shakers were forced to lose time after the withdrawal of some of the members for personal reasons, such as Eddie O’ Mars’, who was the most suitable guitarist for the band and is its best friend, and now plays with the Violent Angel in Sheffild U.K.So, the bands’ line-up had to change a few times. The only steady member so far is Johnny Ted (ex-Cosmic Teds and Invisible Surfers), who is the basic songwriter, and without any problems today Mighty Shakers rock again with a brand new line-up, which is: Johnny Ted (vocals, guitar), Rickie (bass, backing vocals) and Dodo (drums).
