David Laracuente

David Laracuentehas been around the music business since he was 14 years old. As a guitarist/singer and keyboard player, he has written music for both TV and radio, including "Access Hollywood". In the Late-1970s, Dave and his band "Spice" opened for "The Isley Brothers" and "Patti Labelle". "Spice" recorded an album for Boxing promoter "Don King" at American Star Studios (West Virginia) ... a single from that album "Everything is You" reached ..16 on the Billboard Charts. Dave's next band, Spring Fever", was named as one of New York City's most promising acts by WNBC radio in 1980. One of Dave songs was released on an album produced by WNBC radio and talk show host Don Emus. Dave has also played as a session musician for various other artists projects in some of America's top studios including "Electric Ladyland Studios", "The Hit Factory", and "The PowerStation", among others. He continues to play and write and produce music as both a Christian artist and as a secular artist. He is also involved with the group FERENGATA. www.ferengata.com and produces other acts as mentioned earlier. Dave was involved with a Christian CD project with Harborside Church in Safety Harbor Fl. He wrote 3 out of the 10 songs used on one of their recent Praise CD releases. Throughout my musical career there has been one constant ... it is the fact that I know there is an Almighty prescence guiding me in my life. Here is a poem by Maya Angelou that I borrowed from a random myspace artist ... I think it says it well.... When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin." I'm whispering "I was lost, now I'm found and forgiven." When I say... "I am a Christian" I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need CHRIST to be my guide. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need HIS strength to carry on. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not claiming to be perfect, my flaws are far too visible But, God believes I am worth it. When I say... "I am a Christian" I still feel the sting of pain; I have my share of heartaches so I call upon His name. When I say...
