Hi everybody...for those of you who dont know me, my name is Bobby Oddo, I am 25 years old, Im single...and I'm from Buffalo, New York. I have been DJing since the age of 18 and music is my passion. I feel that music is a way that people on a global scale can communicate, and it brings people together despite of their differences. Music is the easiest way for me to express myself because it tells my story from behind the scenes, its like an autobiography that keeps on going until the music stops.
In the beginning stages of my DJing career it consisted of having DJed and held weekly residencies at some of the legendary places that Buffalo had to offer such as Java Records, 658, Showplace Theatre and the OPM Lounge, and also some underground parties to kick off my career, and of course the unforgettable underground warehouse party on the roof overlooking downtown Buffalo! Also at a young age I stole the spotlight at multiple large scale college parties and festivals throughout the western and central new york region...and even to Indiana.
A big breakthrough came in my career in early 2006 when I co-hosted a weekly internet video broadcast through a no longer existant website called the Tower Blocks, which I had kicked off by peforming live at The Space in downtown Buffalo. The Tower Blocks was linked to a UK radio station, so not only could you tune in and watch the dj performance worldwide, but you could also tune your radio in and catch the show in the UK. After the website had shut down I had joined with another website which was providing live broadcasting worldwide as well and also a live connection to the radio and even with an interactive chat, called Old School Ravers. I co-hosted a weekly show up until March 2007, which brought me to THa CHuRCH.
Ahh yes...THa CHuRCH, a place right out of your wildest imaginations (or mine!) As you can see by the pictures this is no ordinary church! The building was built in 1892 and wasnt renovated until the mid to late 80s, after almost being demolished. The most amazing thing about THa CHuRCH is that everything was in its rightful place. The design was without a doubt the best place to host any type of event you could imagine, however we chose to keep it simple...good music...good people...good times. Despite the minor problems with adjusting to our new surroundings...THa CHuRCH (with a little help from myself;) gained its rightful title as hosting the best after hours and underground parties that Buffalo has ever seen, and that crown was handed down by the few people who previously had the title after they witnessed it for themselves.
Currently my main focus is on original productions and remixes and although my knowledge of that realm is very limited, in the near future expect a lot to come!
