The Author whose work brought forth the phrase "Street Tales"
The FIRST author to obtain FULL credibility by all those mentioned in her books.
KALICO JONES IS:The FIRST author to have a book categorized as "EDU-tainment"
Armed with the Official Title: THE BADDEST "B%$#!" IN BOOKS, Kalico Jones candidly recounts trials, tribulations, obstacles, pitfalls and personal growth, in her novel, When Gucci Came First. From the first page she connects with the reader by using inviting dialogue that flows smoothly, laying the foundation for a wild journey with a surprise ending that will make you rejoice with her and breathe a sigh of much needed relief. You will almost feel as though you are snooping in a private journal that is kept under lock and key and hidden in a bottom dresser drawer. Her fresh delivery remains consistent, until you turn the last page. At that point, you miss her and want to know more about the woman behind the story.Expect to finish this book in one sitting because you will crave the next event that your eyes will discover.
When she is obviously in pain, you root for her to recover. And when she is off track, you feel like admonishing her for losing her way, almost wanting to shout, Stop the madness Kalico! Not again! This emotional battle continues and often increases in intensity, just when you thought nothing more could shake you up.The characters innermost thoughts are frank, uncensored, and truly telling of how she is thinking in any and all circumstances. Her delivery is laced with honesty that many wish we could have, but will probably never manage to have the courage to expose. The types of secrets she tells are the type which most of us will take to our graves -deep, hurtful, frightening tales that will bring you to tears and add to your understanding of human frailty. If you feel tempted to judge her behavior, you will regret it and ultimately feel ashamed for rushing to judgment. By the end of her work, her strength and determination to win a war is so evident, it stands up on its own and looks you in the face.

She's back. Kalico Jones has taken street fiction to another level with her follow up to When Gucci Came First. Again I applaud her honesty. This book deserves TEN stars. (shawna long)Oakland, CA

(singing) "Im only human of flesh and blood Im made...Im only human...born to make mistakes..."
See I AM Human. Im just a normal person who is self made.I did what I had to do to get this paper and Im not even going to address the books. I went to school = Monroe College, New Rochelle. I took several certification courses in fiber optics, etc. I used to write MUX msgs for Wcom. I went back to school to learn how to set up foundations, etc. and right now Im in the midst of doing something HUGE with the State of NJ and my church... Im sick of people getting me confused with a person who is not nice. Im sick of folks thinking I am not cordial or that im self centered ...because I am not. I stop to help folks all the time. EVERY day someone is asking me for some sort of favor or advice and Im there for them. So when I hear things that I am not nice, its hurtful...BUT I will not apologize for who I am ..."WELL CONNECTED YOU CAN CHECK MY RECORD"Super Producer Ty Fyffe and the Violin Kid from Rochester.
