About Me

Once upon a time I was a Journalism major, but decided I cannot go into a field that would destroy my elaborate way of writing, or my respect for the privacy of other human beings. I still write, it is the only way for me to be an eloquent human being, because in reality I am an awkward mess most of the time. I've only had one piece of work published so far (http://www.raydar.com.au/mouthing.html), but I'm very proud of it. In addition, I am an official staff writer for www.jiveonit.com, coming to you live this October.....so be sure to read my page, "Jesus Doesn't Live Here." I would really love to study film, a process that has been arduous, but I'm pursuing it full-force anyway. I've always been passionate about movies, particulary Independent, and have always wanted a career in the field in some way. However, I know I would be equally happy running a small business of my own, maybe a coffee shop, or vegan cafe, or something along those lines-I just really don't want to work for anyone else, or anymore evil corporations! I'm also a sometimes lyricist/singer/performer, under the alias of "Dutchess V" (www.myspace.com/iamdutchessv) My music is best described as kinky electroclash, with a post-punk flair. I've wasted alot of time in life, building this alter-ego of an over-the-top party girl in order to fill some void of self-loathing and discontent. Luckily I realized this before I killed every last braincell or died, and I really am trying to be an independently happy and responsible person in life. I am passionate about gay rights, I think that there is definitely not enough love in this world, and any way it is expressed is positive, so why should it matter how? I have a ridiculous sense of humor and enjoy the company of people who can rival my weirdness. I think that life in general is silly and sad, all in one note, but I'm glad to be apart of it, and am striving to make sense of it. I love my peeps, my dog, my lifestyle, grape popsicles, and anything involving fashion. Am a lo-fi junkie. If I become interested in a topic, I have to read every article, book and watch every commentary show, documentary or research special on the subject at hand. Everything that I grow to like or love becomes apart of my passion, and a huge source of my many inspirations. I have an almost unhealthy obsession with Oliver Chesler, the man is a god, a musical genius, and one sick sexy moherfucker. My favorite word is craisin, for obvious reasons. I love love love love LOVE hardcore/jungle mc's...vocals just make any given set better, in my opinion.I also have an insane, rabid love for glam rock, especially concerning the New York Dolls and David Bowie. And, anything 60's-throwback style. Tights. I like gingers. I think turning 25 this year has changed me for the better. I'm starting to realize that all of the things I never understood make more sense, and that I can overcome what I screwed up in my past, and maybe even the things I had no control over that happened to me. It's weird, but sometimes I look forward to my thirties!
Things in life that I can not stand include: abuse against animals, homophobia, televangelists, republicans, other assorted sketchballs, soccer moms who can't drive their gas-suppply-consuming SUVS because they are too distracted by their cell phones (or anyone who can't multi-task while driving but insist on trying to anyway,)misogynistic assholes, racist redneck chicken-rapers, Stellas and Guidos, ghetto trash, white trash, people who get everything and deserve none of it, laugh tracks on cartoons (really, what is the point of that,) fig newtons, and snow. If you feel any of the above apply to you outside of the fig newtons and snow, please don't ever contact me.
Here's a piece I was in-Part II of the short film, "Sartorious", entitled "Palace." Written, Directed and Composed by Anthony Bianco.

Television:

The Kids in the Hall is the greatest show ever to be put on television since it's invention. Thompson, Disco Bloodbath by James St. James, Valley of the Dolls by Jacqueline Sussan, A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess, Electroboy by Andy Behrman (it is nice to know that crazy people can excel in life as well, for my own sake).....I also think that Brett Easton Ellis is a genius, I suggest reading his novels and ignoring the sub-par movies they make out of them.I do admit, I need to read more. It's weird, because it's actually a pastime I enjoy. It's a sad state of affairs, how little time I've spent doing so since discovering a social life. Sometimes I can feel all of the knowledge draining from my head........
