Television:
The Kids in the Hall is the greatest show ever to be put on television since it's invention. There have been others that I find amusing and entertaining, such as: Dexter, Pee-Wee's PlayHouse, That 70's show, Jackass, ATHF, Da Ali G Show, Family Guy, the Golden Girls, Big Love, I Love Lucy, The Simpsons, Daria, Beavis and Butthead, MST3K, Queer as Folk, Seinfeld, Sex and the City, Curb your Enthusiasm, Queer Eye, E! True Hollywood Story (premise: fame, then drug addiction related downfall, then attempts at comeback-and it's enthralling everytime) Chapelle Show, South Park, TV Funhouse, My So-Called Life, Logo TV, Aeon Flux, The L Word, Friends (yes, it's sad but true), I love the 80's/70's/90's, Sex in the 90's, Dawson's Creek (yet another guilty pleasure), Strangers with Candy, Project Runway,The Critic, The Ben Stiller Show, Robot Chicken, the Boondocks, Campus Ladies, Graham Norton Effect, ABFAB, Reno 911, The State....but yeah the Kids in the Hall, nothing compares.
Books:
Venus in Furs by Leopold Von Sacher-Masoch, The Rum Diary, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and the Proud Highway are my favorite works of Hunter S. Thompson, Disco Bloodbath by James St. James, Valley of the Dolls by Jacqueline Sussan, A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess, Electroboy by Andy Behrman (it is nice to know that crazy people can excel in life as well, for my own sake).....I also think that Brett Easton Ellis is a genius, I suggest reading his novels and ignoring the sub-par movies they make out of them.I do admit, I need to read more. It's weird, because it's actually a pastime I enjoy. It's a sad state of affairs, how little time I've spent doing so since discovering a social life. Sometimes I can feel all of the knowledge draining from my head........
