About Me

I began writing lyrics and singing largely due to the influence and encouragement of my good friend and frequent collaborater, Anthony Bianco. Together, and with Harley Himself, we founded the electro garage band, The CounterClockwise, in the Winter of 2004. We started as three vocalists, one keyboard, but quickly enlisted the help of live drums/guitar from local musician Dan Wameling, and backing vocals from friend Kevin Curtis. We recorded two demos as a unit, and played one event, a showcase for artists and musicians, called "Art that Rocks," in the Spring of 2005. Shortly after this, due to time constraints and different views on the ultimate direction of the band, I decided to leave. The boys played one more show without me, and the demise of the band followed shortly thereafter. We collaborated as a foursome for two more songs in 2007, for a CCW compilation collection, and talks of a reunion were in the works. This idea, however, never came to fruition.
Fortunately, my creative outlet in music had been given a chance at a new existance, when musician/producer/filth monger DRACULA_TRON decided to take me on as his first production project under his and Mz. Himself's BIGSWAN label. Together we are pushing the bounds of the electroclash sounds with elements of glam rock, post-punk, and straightforward BDSM subject matter. Look for us at a local live music venue or a sex shop near you! Oh, and enjoy. -Dutchess V

Influences: It all began with Bondage Barbie, this game I used to play as a young, seemingly innocent child. I would lock myself in my room, tie naked Barbie to my dresser, and use Ken (dressed to the nines in Jem Doll clothing) as her master. He slapped her around, they got it on-the usual. Being that I had never been exposed to anything of the sort, as I was afforded a fairly sheltered childhood, I think this is a prime example of the nature over nuture theory. Born pervert. This and various other sexual expressions and desires I exhibited growing up shaped me into the happily depraved person I am today. I guess I truly realized I wasn't like all the other girls when the first person I really wanted to get it on with was Tim Curry as Dr. Frankenfurter in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" at age 12. I guess you can call that experience my "awakening"-the realization that not everybody is Harried Housewife, nine-to-five, suburbian, bored-out-of-your-mind, middle American sheep, and no way was I ever going to be.
