Jamison, originally from Kansas City, grew up under the soulful sounds of his grandmother’s piano. He followed suit at the age of 3. He later picked up the drums and started playing in church at age 14. And by way of getting lost in the rhythm found his way to the bass. Jamison freelances on 4 & 5 string basses. Funk, R&B, Soul, Gospel, and Latin are his music’s of choice. He’s currently working with Boston based blues band Alley Blues, Project DCQ (www.dcqmusic.com) (Cover Band), Abandend (original) and his own up and coming Funk/Soul/R&B project, Last Straw. Jamison also Music Directs for LA based artist Justis Kao (justiskao.com) and can be heard on his Invisible EP. He plays with Latin Jazz Fusion guitarist David Martinez. He also works on various sessions/recordings. Jamison teaches private lessons on Bass, Guitar, Drums, and Piano. One of my students performing "Shook Me All Night Long"
