Enders Game by Orson Scott Card, The Da Vinci Code and Deception Point by Dan Brown, Timeline by Michael Crichton, most Stephen King novels, Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan, Xanth by Piers Anthony, Belgariad by David Eddings, Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield, Teachings of Don Juan by Carlos Castaneda, A Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin, Rhapsody series by Elizabeth Haydon, Harry Potter by JK Rowling, Shannara by Terry Brooks, 1984. I've read so many books it's difficult to recall even a fraction of them. These are a few of the good ones though.
