Colouring Lesson

over a decade of butchering reggae

About Me

Colouring Lesson is on a mission to kick your ass with a lethal mix Reggae, Dancehall, Ska, and Rock! Originally formed in 1995 as the house back-up band for now defunct Jamaican Reggae label Del Geo Records, Colouring Lesson found that its own path was undeniable. After releasing "Menagerie" to critical acclaim in 1997 and touring incessantly, the band managed to garner itself a hardcore grass roots following that still remains today. The band recorded its follow up "Targets" in 1998. Considered by many fans to be the bands definitive work, "Targets" is a CL classic featuring many of the band's best loved songs. After a much needed hiatus to catch up with life, Colouring Lesson is back with a vengeance! Colouring Lesson has re-released "Menagerie + Targets" as a retrospective double album featuring several previously unreleased studio tracks, live recordings, and a bonus surprise track as it works on a new album (tentatively titled "Consequences and Repercussions") with producer extraordinaire Steve Wright. The new album will feature 12 all new songs that capture Colouring Lesson at its best. "Consequences and Repercussions" is slated to be released in both digital and conventional formats and will available through retail outlets nationwide. In other news, Colouring Lesson proudly uses PRS guitars and Budda Amplification.
