Thy Melodramatic Mind is: Saara Caisa and Jari Ervasti.
Saara Caisa ( born in 1980 )
is a talented singer-songwriter and a novelist from the northern town of Oulu, Finland.
She has sang, made up songs and stories since she was a little girl, but started to make her own songs seriously at the age of fifteen and at the same time, started to learn how to play the acoustic guitar (because the piano was just too much of an effort and the guitar was more cooler anyway and suited better for her music! Although, she now wishes she could play the piano... ).
She was a singer in so called rock bands untill she turned twenty and then decided to stay as a solo artist.
Still, Saara has never recorded anything until now; her excuse is that she never actually had enough money to do a demo tape or just that she didn´t find the right person to produce her music with.So, she just patiently waited if the faith could lead someone to her way.
And it did. She met Jari!
Jari Ervasti ( born in 1978 )
is originally from northern Finland, Yli-Kiiminki.
He is a gifted songwriter and also a self-taught musician; Jari plays the acoustic- and the electric guitar, piano, keyboards, bass, harmonica and... well, you name it ( Let´s just say that he can take a guitar pitch pipe tuner and use it in the song, if it sounds good.)!When Jari has a spare time, he likes to paint and do some graphic design.
Jari has played in several friend based music projects, but he has also composed music for example: one theatrical play and two short movies called Waiting (2004) and Neon/Blue (2006). One of his dreams is to compose movie music somewhere in the future.
In this band project called Thy Melodramatic Mind, Saara Caisa and Jari will both write songs together or individually. They have decided to make music that is honest, touching, questioning, sensitive, hopeful, attractive, experimental... eh, and possibly something else!
These first two singles; â€The Issue of Trust†and â€Woeâ€,are written by Saara and they are also the first songs where you can hear Saara´s charming and unique voice captured on the track for the first time.
