LIVE REVIEWS:
"A more focused metal act followed in NDE...the grooves were technical, heavy and very metal, everything from metalcore to grind to a KsE cover, and are getting better each time they play"
"Near Death Experiment had to follow and managed to play the gig of their lives and have finally found their sound, their groove-core bass heavy rhythms tighened up making their wicked intelligent take on metalcore and riffy arrangements as vicious as vocalist Gavin's bile and spit."
The band prides itself on its live performances and has played gigs at many venues, including: Pacific Edge (Romford), Bitter End (Romford) The Standard (Walthamstow), Musictek (Dagenham), The Hermit (Brentwood), Upstairs at the Garage (London), the White Swan (Aylesbury), Bar Monsta (Camden) Hope & Anchor (Islington) & The Loaded Dog (Leytonstone). In May 2007 they opened the Musictek Music Festival in Dagenhams Central Park.

Here's a of the CD from the now defunct Dukester Promotions:
"Now featuring two members of Romford hardcore merchants Faultline, NDE is a much more metal prospect with vocalist Gavin really expanding his range and the band finally coming to a proud sound of their own. Influences by various aspect of metal, they're groovy, pounding, fast, nasty and soar, sometimes within the confines of one song, especially on opener "Thirteen", while follower "Broken" is the groovecore of NDE yore. If Faith No More stuck to the sound they had on the track "Digging The Grave", this is what it'd sound like. "For No One", however, is their masterpiece, with a billion fake endings and returning to a quality riff in a new guise and you enjoy the ride every time."
And here's highlights a review from GigBytes Zine:
"You get a lot of bang for your buck from the 3 guitars, bass, drums & vocals. with influences such as Metallica, Killswitch Engage & Sepultura, you couldn't ever mistake NDE for the rest. They've got their own riffs, rhythms and style and it's as clear as a brick to the face.
Go order their EP for £3 to take out on the road with you, throw at passers by or grind to dust and sprinkle on your notmadeofpussymadeofmetalinsteadabix!!"

JANUARY 2005 - Lewis Gale (Keratose) puts the band together after switching from guitar to drums due to the lack of interest from local drummers. Dean Wardell (of many terrible bands) shows up with his guitar. The 2 of them continued to meet up weekly.
FEBRUARY 2005 - Lewis brings in friend Steven Metcalfe on guitar and his brother in law Luke Scowen on Bass. Something clicked and they began writing songs based on Lewis' ideas. "BLUE HARVEST", "GRINDOR", "SHOT DOWN" are written.
JUNE 2005 - They start looking for a vocalist, finding Gavin Bourne (Faultline) - his Carcass style rasp was a perfect fit to the music they were creating. "CRIMSON" & "PHOENIX" are written
AUGUST 2005 - They christened themselves 'BLUE HARVEST' and performed their first gig just 4 weeks after Gavin joined at a friends’ party. As rough as it was it gave them the confidence to push forward and set up a routine of gigging as much as possible. "REVERSE REVOLUTION" & "WATTO" are written.
FEBRUARY 2006 - NDE take part in Waffleon.co.uk’s Alternative stars in their eyes competition, where local bands emulate their heroes. The band chose to perform - In what started out as a joke – as Slipknot, putting in a lot of effort into costumes and stage show. Although tipped to win they had to settle for 2nd place.
APRIL - MAY 2006 - "FOR NO ONE" & "BROKEN" are written.
JUNE 2006 - On 06/06/06, they performed a set at Waffleon.co.uk’s 666 metal night, knocking out covers of Alice in Chains (Dam that River), Life of Agony (River runs red), Fear Factory (Replica) Sepultura (Roots Bloody Roots) & of course Slipknot (Duality).
MAY 2006 - They change their name to NEAR DEATH EXPERIMENT.
JANUARY 2006 - Luke Leaves to go back to school - Neil Salmon replaces him. "DESCENDING" is written.
APRIL 2007 - Steve leaves the fold and Kris Twyman (Faultline) steps in on guitar duties. "THIRTEEN" is finished.
MAY 2007 - They finally released their first 4 track demo available featuring "THIRTEEN", "BROKEN", "FOR NO ONE" & "BLUE HARVEST (LIVE)". Reviews and feedback we’re positive, and through the net fans were found as far away as Canada & the Netherlands. They also again took part in Waffleon.co.uk’s Alternative stars in their eyes competition, this time taking to the stage as Killswitch Engage.
SEPTEMBER 2007 - Neil leaves the band to start his own project. Mudd (another Faultliner) replaced him. "BURN YOUR BRIDGES" is written.
JANUARY 2008 - Kris moves away to Ipswich and Practices became scarce. It looked like it might be over...
MARCH 2008 - Lewis comes out from behind the drum kit and is now on guitar. Another new boy - Jamie Gunn - takes his seat behind the kit.
APRIL - MAY 2008 - "BRIGHT LIGHTS CASTING DARK SHADOWS" and "THE END OF ME" are written. Kris comes back, making it a 3 guitar line up, finally.
JUNE 2008 - First gig of 2008 at the Cauliflower, Ilford.
JULY 2008 - The band learn "The Evil That Men Do" by Iron Maiden, and try to stay true to the sacred original whilst still stamping their own sonic footprint all over it!
