About Me

Third Invention was developed around 2002, though with a different name and with other members. The band started playing cover tunes and quickly figured that they wanted to write their own music.
The band attended local contests and played various gigs in the local area - created a name on the local rock scene.

In 2004 the band won an youth contest and played in front of nearly 1000 listeners in a great concert hall in Trondheim.

In 2005 the band selfreleased a DEMO called Blackened Dream. The DEMO was recorded in a local studio with Dag Stormoen, during summer 2005, but due to some delays it was not released until December 2005. The DEMO has gotten exclusively good reviews.

In the summer of 2006 Third Invention experienced its greatest moment in the career of the band. It performed on Norwegian Wood, one of the largest festivals in Norway, in front of almost 7000 people.

In January the band went in Sounderground studio in Oslo for three days and recorded two new songs, which can be heard on this page. "The Coil" and "Covering Eyes"
