We are sad to announce that this years festival was the last Skral Festival. Despite a great number of visitors and a fantastic lineup we cannot continue working with the festival the way we have been doing the last six years.Thank you for the love, support and memories all of you have been a part of the last years. We truly wish there was another way..Please check out http://www.skralfestival.net/index.php?option=com_content&am
p;task=view&id=115&Itemid=1 for more details (In Norwegian)Big love from Skral FestivalFor those interested, here is our story:Skral Festival started as a big gardenparty outside the small town Grimstad in the very south of Norway. When the three friends Mikal,Markus and Stian couldn't find anything to do for the summer they thought: What the hell, lets make a festival! Just in case the whole thing would be a disaster they decided to call it "Skral Festival", which means "lousy festival", and it rhymes! It wasn't a disaster at all, the festival grew dramaticly every year. Sally, the dear owner of the garden, got a little nervous when Skral had about 1500visitors in 2005. So, we decided to move to a beautiful area called Groos. Eventhough we miss Sally's garden every once in a while, we have to admit: Groos is perfect for Skral!Skral Festival is still a rather small festival, with a lot of soul and good wibes. Apart from the obvious; lots of fab music, you can eat in our garlic garden, sleep at our camp and eat funky breakfast, drink beer from our lokal brewery, or just chill in a sofa overlookin the seefront...Skral Festival is most considerate about enviroment threats. We cooperate with the local renovate-firm and environment-organizations.Skral festival 2006
