7 months into Chicago as of September. It's kinda been rough on me--guess I just mainly miss my family. Have had a couple of set backs, but I guess nothin's ever perfect, right?
As for me, I would describe myself as very laid back. Don't get to excited over much, and am definitely not up for drama. Learning to love the city and still feel like a very small fish in a really large pond. I tend to be extremely outgoing in social situations, but mainly that's a defense mechanism (I think??). Feels like I know a million people, but never quite to the depth that I would prefer. In reality, I tend to keep a small, very close, group of friends. I don't let people in readily, so think it over before you apply. On the upside, I would live or die for my friends in a heartbeat.
Things that you might not guess: I'm educated (lucky enough to have attended two great schools), very guarded in the relationship world (then again who isn't), don't entertain relationships easily, and I suppose I've gotten what I deserve in the broken heart category. I'm not big on the past, don't handle losing very well, still shake boxes at Christmas (haha), and the only thing that I don't like about Chicago so far is how much I miss my family.
