*UPDATE*
I have never written anything on our myspace, so here goes...I don't know if everyone will read this, but I'll write this anyways. It seems, as for now, that Bangkok is on an indefinate haitus. No it doesn't mean we all hate each other and there was mad drama. in fact it was a 24/7 69 love fest. we just felt that in the best interest of our friendships and for creative purposes to take a break.There were many other factors which lead to this decision, but hey, life goes on right? Anthony has I Refuse, Mark has Second-Guess the Sea, and Luca has Ennuie and other projects. As for me, I have no fallout band, so it seems I'll have to start fresh.I just wanna thank everyone who's supported us and have come out to all our shows, even though in reality it was mostly our friends, and I'm sure we've made some fans along the way (hopefully, lol). god damn those shows were a lot of fun and I'm gonna miss having everyone singing along. Who knows, maybe someday we'll take it up again, nothing is certain, but you can make sure that you'll be hearing from all of us in the future!love you guys!Steven Donegani****************************************************
*************Anthony and Luca are cousins so they've known eachother since forever. Mark and Anthony were in the same class since kindergarten. Mark used to be really chubby and Anthony used to be really skinny. Irony is a bitch. Luca met steve in grade 8 but then steve moved across town for a year. Anthony and Mark met steve when he was in our grade nine science class with Mrs. Allen. Steve was kind of a jerk, but he could really draw well. Seriously that's all he fucking did. We kind of thought he was a jerk when we first met him, but he turned out to be really nice.
Luca and Steve started to play guitar around the same time. Luca bought an Ibanez and Steve bought this seafoam green Yamaha. Some people think Steve's guitar is ugly as fuck. We think Steve's Guitar is Super Retro!
So Luca and Anthony started a band with Sean and Matt. They were called Red Sky Warning and they couldn't write a fucking song. Most of the time Matt would just break into Fade To Black by Metallica randomly. Sean would just kind of make fun of us most of the time but we never got it because we're stupid.
Mark was in a band with Jake (another childhood friend) and this guy named Krzysztof. They covered Blink 182 for highschool cofee houses and didn't get in. Krzysztof turned into a total gangster for some reason and stopped playing bass and started smoking alot of weed. We haven't seen him since then. They got Andrew to play guitar for them and called themselves Hamburger and played the St. Pius Highschool Do What You Want To Do Night. Then they got Pierce to play guitar because pierce had no friends (and still doesn't).
Pierce and Andrew used to be in a band called Written In Blood with some other dudes who went on to form Doctor Satan who are now Body Harvest. After Written in Blood, Anthony, Andrew and Pierce formed a tech metal band with a friend named Court who's a total shred master. They sounded alot like between the buried and me and they couldn't find a singer so they broke up. Pierce and Andrew "reformed" WIB and changed the name to BLT (www.biglosertime.tk) and covered Weezer for a while, although they did play a bunch of the old WIB songs at a basement show with I Spoke and Panserbjorne. Both bands were good friends with Anthony's shitty Screamo band called We, the Accused.
While Luca and Steve were learning to play guitar they asked Mark to play bass. They asked Anthony to play drums and he accepted since he was really pissed off at his stupid, crappy screamo band.
Hence Bangkok was formed.
Most of the time Bangkok doesn't really practise as much as they watch old episodes of beyond belief starring Jonathan Frakes who was commander Riker on one of those Star Trek TV shows.
