The ERIC HASSELBACH Story
Born in a small town close to Cleveland Ohio, Eric Recieved his first guitar bought for him when he was 9 years of age by his brother David (Guitar Daddy) Hasselbach Guitarist of the Heavy Metal Band REAL STEEL. When Eric Turned 16 he played his first gig at Empire in Cleveland, oh. As Eric's Brothers band Real Steel fazed out into a more Blues Rock and drifted away from the Heavy Metal scene, Eric and his band Mayhem come in behind to fill the void. Mayhem tied up the metal circut at well known club's such as Empire, Flash's and many others opening for Major Signed bands such as, The Almighty from Europe, Gorky Park, Black Foot, Trouble, Savatage, Blue Murder, Bullet Boys and many more.
After years of playing the local circuts, Eric and his family moved to San Juan Porto rico in 1993. Eric Established an all origonal and some cover band and became very popular with the locals being the only american rock band in the country. Eric appeared on local Tv stations and had numerous air play on local radio stations of songs he wrote.
After 2 years in the Carribian it was time to move to Jackson, ms. In 1995 living in Jackson, Ms Eric launched a solo act that became the Jackson area's only solo artist of the time. Many musicians followed behind Eric and began walking in his foot steps.
In 1998 Eric Moved to Tampa Bay Florida where he teamed up with his older brother David (Guitar Daddy) Hasselbach to form a power trio Called Guitar Daddy & The Hurricanes. For 3 years Eric and his brother ruled the Blues/Rock world playing with such acts as Marshal Tucker, 38-Special, Molly Hatchet and Lynyrd Skynyrd. In 2002 Eric parted ways and moved back to Jackson, Ms.
