MILEUNDER

Mileunder formed in 2004 with the purpose of raising awareness about child abduction. The band recently celebrated the release of their soundtrack for the motion picture "The Gingerbread Man", a film about a vigilante who rescues abducted children and returns them home (www.gingerbreadman.org). Mileunder is currently working on the self-titled album "Mileunder", a rock & roll, melodic meltdown. This soulful yet compact power packed combination will lead the band to serious underground commercial success. Mileunder is comprised of four talented artists from south central Pennsylvania. Lead singer, Jon Spirk, earned a degree in theology before pursuing his passion for music and film. His experience includes roles in television commercials, on soap operas and a part in the movie “Girl Interrupted” where he shared an on screen kiss with actress Angelina Jolie. Jon’s vocals are reminiscent of the late Jim Morrison and Johnny Cash. His lyrics can be compared to "U2’s" Bono and "The Doors’" Jim Morrison as they convey truth that can only be expressed by a man with spiritually enriched life experience. Dan Spirk is a rhythmic, soulful, rock & roll guitarist with a sharp edge. His driving guitar meltdown is a lethal mix of "U2’s" The Edge and "The Red Hot Chili Peppers" John Frusciant’s non-chalant style. Elias Herb, is a power punched solid yet complicated bassist whose sound is influenced by Tool, Rush and Sly Family Stone. He, too, mixes both the melodic and hard rock together to really define himself as a one of a kind blender of a bass player. Drummer, Jeff Hollinger, can best be described as the offspring of "Led Zepplins" Jon Bonham and "The Red Hot Chili Peppers" Chad Smith. His high-energy beats mixed with complex infrastructures are the heartbeat of the new tomorrow. Mileunder’s mission is to reach people everywhere - give them hope, tastefully seduce them with their music, and be discussed in the boardroom, the locker room, at the dinner table, on the job site and of course, in the ladies bathroom.
