About Me

Lyle King has been performing in the Burlington music scene for several years; however, he truly emerged in 2001 when he won the Advance Music Acoustic Guitar Search. King followed that up with his CD debut, Left Standing, in 2002 which Amy Robson of Leftoffthedial.com describes as "a must have for any fan of acoustic rock and any fan of pure and passionate music.” In the spring of 2004 King released the stripped-down acoustic EP, 5 A.M., which offers listeners an opportunity to experience Lyle as he often performs live; "just a singer, a six-string and a life laid bare in lyrics" (Pamela Polston - Seven Days VT).
After several years of playing around Vermont at venues like Higher Ground and Radio Bean, and at events like the Vermont Festival for the Arts, King has recently begun to look beyond the borders of Vermont with gigs being scheduled around New England, and plans are being laid for his next full-length album.
PRESS/REVIEWS
"Lyle King holds plenty of promise in the singer/songwriter genre... King [has a] penchant for writing great melodies... the listener can’t help but whistle ’em long after the disc stops spinning."
