This is what happens when your father is a guitar player. You get a Fender Stratocaster when you're 12. You play in bands in your teens. Then you try to be responisble and study Biochemistry. After that you get a delayed adolescent rebellion, ditch medical school, move out to Los Angeles and start rocking out.
For the past year plus I've been half of the duo known as Master McCarthy. We've since split, but remain good friends. I am putting together a new band and will be returning to my rock roots. Stay tuned for more on that score...
I owe much of the magic of these recordings to Bryan Master and the wonderful musicians that supported us as Master McCarthy. Led by producer Niko Bolas, the drumming of Charley Drayton, guitar by Waddy Wachtel, bass by Bob Glaub and keys by Jeff Babko brought these songs of mine to life. Dan Nash at Just Great Management is my friend, manager, spiritual adviser and chief critic. He brought all of it together.
I also play in a cover band called Redondo Bitch, singing lead and shredding on guitar.
