"Dirtylaws is declaring war on todays rock" !!They have every intention of kicking it from a very high status to its fate.Dirtylaws is a 5 piece rock crew from Coventry/Birmingham.They were formed back in mid 2006 and got straight down to writing some gritty rock tunes and riffs that should last the test of time. This rock/blues/indie band is influenced greatly by Led Zeppelin,Free,Ocean Colour Scene,Hendrix,Oasis and many many others giving them that old rock vibe mixed with a modern twist and on top of that you have Mike on vox/harmonica slotting in the blues feel."H" on lead guitar certainly knows how to get your heart racing mixing lots of different sounds to get many people standing in bars in Birminghm playing air guitar wondering how hes so quick.Neil has a knack too and is well paired with H fusing there sounds together.Craig switched from guitar to bass and is getting his teeth into it by the day.Matt on the drums is the thunder of the band playing with extra heavy aluminium sticks which is why hes the loudest drummer i suspect in the midlands. This band know what they want,know what they feel and display this in there music,they just want to be heard in all corners.At present they are gigging in and around Birmingham at music venues and enjoying every minute of it,and becoming a tighter more controlled sound along the way. Glastonbuget 2008 will be the biggest crowd this band have performed too and have written some new tunes just for this crowd.The debut of the punchy riff "green room" will be heard on the day and will no doubt get the crowd bopping away.If you drink whiskey through your eyeballs,hate work and get off on lead guitar then this band is for you!!"If theres a future for any band,its this one,there not following,there leading"SURFACE UNSIGNED REVIEW 2008:A band that deserve special mention for the fantastic usage of a harmonica during their set, Dirty Laws brought with them a great mix of blues clashed with classic British rock. The band, originally from Coventry, have been together for a year and a half and having cited the legendary Led Zep as a key influence this has clearly influenced singer Mike in his delivery of material. The strength of this band lies primarily in the strength of Mike's distinctive vocals, twinned with the two lead guitars. Dirty Laws offer ear friendly Brit-rock, their material is polished and of a high quality and is likely to appeal to the mainstream. They are enjoyable to both watch and hear – ones to watch (and listen) out for!
