Detroit rockers Spyder Baby, led by charismatic front man Stevie Banch, combine the thrill of Rock and metal with the low-slung disturbia of melodic industrial bands like NIN and Ministry on their 2008 debut album. The band has hit the ground running with songs that function as crisp, intense, and compact balls of fury, leavened with a morbid sense of humor that keeps things from collapsing under the weight of their own Gothic, seriousness.
