About Me

plain layout powered by HOT FreeLayouts.com / MyHotComments Picture This: Rock-n-roll guitar, ranging from cool melodic sounds to screaming full on heavy metal leads;mixed in with bass, funky and phat like the cafeteria lady in high school;add a thundering drummer with a bit more than double bass on his mind, cool percussive tones like a latin conga player and the power of a thrasher; psychelelic keyboards that do a whole lot more that just play in key; not to mention a D.J. straight from the hood and vocals that are rapped and sung with smooth percision. Quite an image. You might not know about'em, but your sister does. So does a whole lot of the rest of Houston- Houston Press Awards 1993.......PLANET SHOCK!- The musical result when trash stares rap in the face and both decide to smoke a fatty in Jamaica. The name says it all, so if your of the few who hasn't caught a live show, then get with it!!!!This band is going to give Houston it's deserved place on the map- Publc News, March-1993.......They bring an infectious blend of modern rhythms that bridge the gaps between thrash, rap, reggae and metal. You'll hear diverse influences, ranging from Public Enemy to Bob Marley, with a touch of Ice Cube and Black Sabbath. In a few short months, PLANET SHOCK! has proved itself at venues around Houston by constanly delivering excellent and wildly enthusiatic crowds. PLANET SHOCK! delivers a mind blowing experience WOW! The best part of these guys is that they're all live! Sure, you'll see a synth on stage, but you'll also see drums, bass and guitar. These guys are hot!- Houston Chronicle, August- 1994..... You've read the reviews, they speak for themselves. WE ARE BACK!!! for another go-round. With every member of PLANET SHOCK! staying true to their respected roots, the band has not lost a beat. It's been over 13 years since all members have hit the stage together. It's 13 years of more experience and wisdom. The Rebel Crew ( Joe B, Lion 808) have been B-Z traveling the world, touring and educating people on the Hip-Hop culture. Playing shows from London, Middle East, Greece, Jamaica, visiting 37 U.S. Embassy's all over the world. Bone, Audio III and Leality never stopped doing what they love, this year will mark 15 years they've been acompanying each on stage. With success in "AFTERSHOCK" they've been blessed to experience what most never get the chance to. Lion 808 has been B-Z with "DeSangre", Carlos Llama has a radio show " Moon Tower Radio" on Friday's from 3-5 pm CST on KPFT 90.1 on the Houston FM dial. Audio III can be found in a club near you, mixing it up and getting the dance floor bumping and grinding. But as for now, all these young talented musicians have made a commitment to follow and continue the work that they've started. PLANET SHOCK! will be rocking in a City near you. So wherever you are, you owe it to yourself to check them out, You'll be craving for more...
