The story of NEW LIFE begins with the meeting of Romain and Alex.
Quickly, they compose and write many songs together..
Although they don’t have the same background, they nevertheless share a common passion for beautiful melodies based on voice and piano.
At the end of his studies in a Business School of Management in France and in Europe, after several years creating his own songs, Romain – the singer, melodist and author of NEW LIFE – finally finds the composer and arranger that fits his universe.
Alex has played piano since forever. He received lessons in a classical music school, but this education hasn't prevented him from liking every style of music, especially pop and rock.
Indeed, it’s in this kind of music he can express himself best.
He only misses a unique voice for a unique musical project, NEW LIFE.
A band is created…
Within few times, songs come up…
The flying voice of the singer, as coming from the sky, and deep melodies of the pianist are already an invitation to travel in their music.
In a short time, Alex and Romain go to record in a professional studio.
Only few weeks later, their first EP is released.
With this 5-track EP, NEW LIFE takes us far away. With real emotions and fresh intentions, they propose us to fall into a sweet, melancholy and flying universe.
You'll discover here an alternative music that offers a new atmosphere, honest and melody based.
NEW LIFE wants everyone to be able, through their music, to fade away to an unknown world, almost unreal where we all can let our most crazy dreams lead us to a colourful future.
NEW LIFE, a revelation of 2008!
NEW LIFE est un groupe parisien de Pop Alternative créé en 2007.
Dès la première rencontre, Romain et Alex se mettent instinctivement à écrire et composer ensemble …
Malgré des parcours différents, ils partagent une passion commune pour la Pop Anglaise et surtout pour les belles mélodies en général.
A la fin de ses études en Ecole de Commerce, et après plusieurs années passées à créer ses propres morceaux, Romain - le chanteur, mélodiste et auteur du groupe - trouve enfin le compositeur qui correspond à son univers.
Alex joue du piano depuis l’âge de 5 ans. Diplômé de plusieurs prix au conservatoire, il aime autant la musique classique que le rock.
Quelques années plus tard, plusieurs groupes et des études d’ingénieur du son, ce sera dans la musique pop qu’il trouvera finalement au mieux ses repères de compositeur et d’arrangeur.
Il ne lui manque plus qu’une voix pour se lancer dans un vrai projet musical…NEW LIFE

Les compositions prennent forme rapidement…
La voix aérienne du chanteur et les mélodies efficaces du pianiste sont déjà une invitation au voyage dans leur musique.
Très vite, Alex et Romain entrent en studio.
A peine quelques semaines plus tard, le duo sort son premier EP.
Avec ce CD 5 titres, NEW LIFE nous emporte avec émotion et une certaine fraîcheur dans un univers mélancolique, doux et planant. Nous découvrons ici une musique alternative qui offre une ambiance nouvelle, mélodique et sincère…
