About Me

The power of prayer brought me this far. My mother and father had no children together until her Pastor, Elder JW Hayes Prayed. Elder Hayes a Church Of God In Christ Minister Was formally known as, "Guitar pickin Jim" It was on the front pew, watching him Pray, sing and preach that I began to Love the Guitar. I watched him, imitating his cords and movement until one day my brother Earl informed the Pastor, " Robby can play the "Guitar" just like you! He sent for me, and I begin to play for church services at his request. Sometimes we played together, but as I became more proficiant, He wanted me to play solo especially when he preached. Those where wonderful days for me, Learning at the feet of Christ and under the anointed teaching of a man of God. ************************* We traveled to area churches running revivals, and I loved playing for the services and watching the saints rejoice. As I got older My influence's were Jimmy Hendrix, Wes Montgomery and BB King. And later, George Benson.

Band Members: At the tender age of five years old, I remember having the love of music. It was a natural thing for me. It never seemed strange wanting to play a musical instrument, I always knew I wanted to become a musician, which was my biggest childhood passion and desire. My musicial journey and quest began at the church, watching and listening to every musician who played. Of all the instruments that I saw and heard, the guitar was my instrument of choice, and fortunately the minister of the church was a prolific guitar player himself. For many years I sat and watch from the front pew , committing to memory the sights and sounds of guitar playing Jim singing those inspirational songs which inspired my life in so many ways to this day. As I became older I began to relize this was a special gift from God, and was a precious treasure He placed within im my life. I knew then I wanted to become a serious musician. So I began to study on my own in the basement of our home imitating the sounds that I heard. It was fun watching myself grow, but it was also lots of hard work, and took a lot of effort and persistence to stay with it knowing that someday it would pay off. Later at the age of nineteen I left my native city of Cleveland Ohio with that same passions and desires to become a better musician. I went to the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and embarked upon a journey at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music. It was great, I learned a lot about the heritage of jazz music, and how it all came about and what it meant to be a serious musician. I studied Miles, Coltrane, Monk, Dizzy, Wes, McCoy, Hurbie, and many others, the list goes on... So today I incorporate all of those influences which I learned from great teachers trying to keep my own idenity as to what and who I am, hoping that all my listeners will enjoy, listening to the outcome of it all.Yours Truly, Robert Walls
