I have just rolled out a new site for all of the Salem and surrounding areas musical community. It's has been very many hours of work but I finally have the thing up and running.

It's called Salem Oregon Music Encyclopedia or S.O.M.E. for short and it's exactally what it sounds like, an encyclopedia for all things music in the mid-willamette valley. It runs on the same software as wikipedia and works in the exact same way, written and editted by it's users.

So if you are in a band then please take the time to create an article about your band by searching for your band in the searchbar on the left side of the screen and then choosing to create your own article.

So please spread to anyone who has been involved in the Salem music scene for the past 50 years. I'm not joking, the first rock band in Salem was the Mad Plaids and they started in 1957. I am meeting with several people in the next few weeks and taking my laptop with me and picking their brains for a couple of hours in order to start getting the bare bones of the encyclopedia going.

If you could please copy and repost this bulletin that would be extremely awesome as I really want this to take off and become a community resource.
