Just Another Junkie (Down The Disco)

About Me

In early 2004 DJ Deadguy got back into making music. After working on some remixes for FUZZGUN SNIPER he hit the studio to record some new FEY material, but a new sound emerged. This sound was developed and tinkered with occasionally throughout 2004 under the project name THE SUICIDE SESSIONS - very bass dominated stuff with big beats and waspish guitars. In 2005 the SESSIONS became more frequent and were renamed SIOUXSIE SUICIDE after one of the first very upbeat tracks in a slightly different direction again.September 16th 2005: the first 3 track demo was released. Additional musicians drafted in to take this stuff live........ October 22nd 2005: 1st band rehearsal as a 2-piece..... December 9th 2005: debut live performance as a 4-piece!

Sounds Like: Apparently Siouxsie Suicide sounds like Joy Division, Sisters of Mercy, The Cramps, Ministry, History Of Guns, Chaos Engine, Pendulum, Alien Sex Fiend and Bauhaus....."the band blend clever disco beats and dark vocals to create something catchy and “lively” that would appeal to most on the club scene here, whether it be in York’s own Ziggy’s or The Gallery.....It’s “dark and sexy”.....Siouxsie Suicide look like they shouldn’t be able to tempt the masses, but they really can.For fans of: Ministry, Pendulum. " - Dom Smith, The Talk Mag"Siouxsie Suicide’s heavy industrial sound may not have been to everyone's taste; but their cover of Judas Priest’s “Breaking The Law” was one of the most unusual sounds of the evening and the kind of song I imagine [John] Peel would have played at the wrong speed." - BBC North Yorkshire website, Peel Day review"...modern punk electronics..." - www.mickmercer.com"...angry and raw...with a catchy chorus and a danceable beat...." Unscene Magazine 2"...made me want to cut my ears off..." - Ruben @ Beached.net forum
