About Me
First I want to say hello to all of my friends and family. To those of you who have just come to check out what I'm all about, my name is Andrew McLean. I am from and still reside in Brooklyn, NY. I consider myself blessed to have the ability to play music and to be able to create my own as well. As far back as I can remember I have been playing drums. In 2005, I was blessed to play with r&b/gospel artist Kelly Price. Since then, I have been motivated to take my gift and share it with the world. I have been recording and playing for many and artists in NYC which has allowed me to play in clubs all over the city like the cutting room floor, the knitting factory, hk lounge, and the bitter end just to name a few. I have also been blessed to record on projects with the likes of such talented people as Gent Boyz, Kevin Steele, guitarist Aurelien Budyneck, world reknowned bandoneon player Hector Del Curto, soul singer Stephanie Mckay, international band liquidS, and Less Than Treason. I attribute any present or forthcoming success I have to God first who is my teacher, and guide. Also to the fact that I truly do love to listen to music, no matter what type. This has helped to make me a versatile drummer, able to seamlessly switch from style to style. My appreciation and understanding of music has helped me tremendously. My new found loves as instruments include bass guitar, my voice and piano, of which I've been working on improving the past few years. Playing percussion has led me to working with some great up and coming talents such as DJ Baked Potato and singer Kelly Waters (look out for her!!!!). This is the beginning of my journey as a musician, sharing my God given gifts and I'm having fun so far! So check out my page, listen to some music, watch some videos, enjoy yourself!
