About Me

I've been into the paranormal since I can remember my grandmother telling me about the other side when I was 10 years old.I'm 27 now and learned allot since then I'm not a skeptic anymore only due to personal experiences I have had as a child.I am a big fan of Taps on Sci-Fi.I go out to try my best in trying to find out if a place is haunted or not and it's becoming very interesting as I get older and more in depth on the subject.I love tinkering with gadgets and what not. Some of the equipment used to find signatures of a haunting are out of my reach.I strive to find the unknown with what I have to use.Bottom line,It's my passion and always will be.I've traveled to local hot spots and found out first hand that the unknown exist in some form or shape. If your skeptic and reading this try a few places in your area with friends it's all non believable,I assure you until you found what your looking for someway.I believe we survive the afterlife some how some way.I have ventured to the worst places in my area that is haunted and let me tell you it's real! It's sad to see most of the places that I have explored and ventured to are closed down or demolished but that just strengthens my search for the unknown.-Erik

Here is a local artist Jim Charette's art and music check it out and give him some support thanks.

Dever State School

The site of Devers State School was originally a military camp called Camp Myles Standish, and it was used as a staging area for troops entering into and returning from the European theater of operations during World War II. It was also used as a detention center for about 3,000 German and 4,000 Italian prisoners of war at the time. Following the war, in an effort to improve the quality of life for the state's mentally disabled, the 1,200 acre campus was developed for use as a state school for the mentally disabled, with the 1,400 bed hospital of the military camp being the reason for its location. The other military buildings were destroyed and the state erected several brick buildings for the new school.

This place was interesting visited many times, allot of activity here from sounds of people walking around, flashes of lights orbs, people talking when no one is there, doors slamming ghost cars.

LADD School

The Rhode Island School for the Feeble Minded was founded in 1907 as a farm colony for the residents to work and learn, with Dr. Joseph Ladd as the superintendent. The patient population grew quickly, and in 1909 a dormitory was erected as the other was full; the new building would be for girls only. In 1917 the name of the facility changed to The Exeter School as the term "feeble-minded" (amongst many other medical terms) were becoming objectionable at the time. As the facility grew in size and population, funding became more scarce, and the school began to deteriorate into an overcrowded place to put the state's unwanted as many other state funded institutions did at the time. In the 1960s the facility had over 1,000 patients, and was re-named the Ladd Center in memory of its first superintendent.

This school is very active and one of the best places of haunted, I have ever visited in my 8 years or investigating so far!

Metropolitan State Hospital

In 1978, a patient named Melvin Wilson murdered co-patient Anne Marie Davee, dismembered her body, and buried her in several shallow graves on the grounds of Met State. Wilson kept seven of Ms Davee's teeth in his possession which was found on him by staff, and pieces of Wilson's clothing and the presumed murder weapon (a hatchet) were also found two months after Davee's disappearance. Despite these disturbing discoveries, an investigation was not made until 19 reports of negligence by state mental health workers were looked into along with this case almost two years after Davee had been missing. On August 12, 1980, Wilson led investigators to the graves, and was taken to Bridgewater State Hospital for trial. The hospital closed in January 1992, and left a maze of rotting wards and tunnels behind. From what I've heard, security was non-existent at first, which led to a number of homeless people living inside. Eventually, a private company was hired to keep an eye on the place, tunnels have been sealed, and windows have been boarded tight. The effort it takes to get in does seem to outweigh the result; the hospital is empty, bland, and very disgusting. A room full of patient records sits in a water logged basement, and the stench of rot and stagnant chemicals is almost unbearable.

This Waltham,Mass Building was on World scariest places on TV,I visited the apartment buildings near the hospital one time.I heard the Hospital is the worst part from doors slamming, womens screams, physical objects being thrown, blood on the walls, even used needles lying about..

Danvers State Hospital

The now abandoned Danvers State Hospital has dominated Hathorne Hill in Danvers, Massachusetts for well over a century. It's extraordinary Kirkbride building was designed by Nathaniel J. Bradlee. Construction began in 1874 and patients were first admitted in 1878. Although it was intended to house 450, as with most of these buildings, in time many more than that number would be crowded within its walls. The beautifully Gothic building is on the National Register of Historic Places. It was featured in the film, Session Nine. Years of neglect have taken their toll on the structure. Now,Avalon Bay demolished all but a token section of the building in order to capitalize on the valuable land on which the building currently stands. The professionals called in by the town historians feel that at least the outside of the building is capable of being saved. The professionals hired by the developers claim that most of the building is beyond repair.

Personally they should have preserved this piece of land, like they did with Waverly Hills,Kentucky.

Mercy Brown's Grave

Mercy Brown is one of America's most famous 'vampires'. Her family had a long history of being killed by consumption, and Mercy was no exception. After her death in 1892, members of her family were still being claimed by it. Since it was attacking just the Brown family, people began to say a vampire within the family was inflicting the consumption. The dead were dug up in 1893, including Mercy's mother and some siblings, but all were decomposing or skeletal. All but Mercy. Her body, buried for a few months at this point, was in perfect condition, as if she had been buried only the day before. The surviving family believed they had found their 'vampire'. Not only was her heart burned, but Mercy's head was also cut off, and depending on who you talk to, a stake was plunged into her heart.Mercy was supposed to have screamed or had blood around her mouth after being staked

Spider Gates Cemetery

Rumors are as follows: A teenage boy hung himself from a tree by the gate in the 1980’s. There is a strip of lawn where grass doesn't grow. Something roars in the woods. There is a central raised area twenty feet by twenty feet called "the Altar." Satanists have permission to use it. There is a second cemetery nearby that can only be found once. There is a cave nearby where a girl was killed and mutilated. There is a haunted house down a dirt road across from the gate. There is white stuff that oozes from the ground. It is haunted. Voices are heard and things rustle when there is no wind. The swamp is eerie. If you turn over the rocks in an area just outside the cemetery wall, you will find runes etched on them. And, there is that thing about Republicans holding midnight meetings among the stones.

This location is in Leicester,Mass

I have been here on many occasions, and they were not pleasant.Tree limb almost falling on someone when asked to show them selfs, moving in the woods, footsteps, even heard a women screaming like it was her last breath before dying!
