..ATEN: (ätn) n. Mythology - An Egyptian god of the sun, regarded during the reign of Akhenaton as the ONLY GOD!!! During the summer of 2006 Rudy Tamayo (bass), Richard "Necro" Espinosa (drums), Ezekiel Garcia (lead vocals) and Esteban "Esty" Sanchez (guitar) formed Aten helping bring back the metal scene that the Imperial Valley had been lacking for some time. Aside from playing local bars and events, Aten has performed in Arizona, San Diego and Los Angeles (most notably The Whisky A Go Go) opening for God Forbid, Divine Heresy, Goatwhore, Mnemic, Arsis, Darksun and the Human Abstract.
