Appreciate the retarded things in life...

About Me

MyGen Profile Generator Hi. My name is Chris, and I like hot sauce packets from Taco Bell.
I am also the co-creator of The Seabeaver, a Flash animated cartoon series about pirates. If you're interested, please click on the banner below...
I go by the name Chris because “Christopher” gets misspelled on utility bills. For some reason, my name morphs into “Christo” or “Christoph”. It’s really embarrassing, because it’s the kind of name a magician would have. “And now! Please welcome the Amazing Christoph!!! Watch as he saws this Bengal tiger in half!” Since I suck at magic tricks, I don’t want to give people false impressions.
I’m an archivist at Sac State. People often ask me what an archivist is, and I tell them it’s like being an archaeologist--only instead of fighting Nazis like Harrison Ford does, I’m in a library processing and preserving 50 year old records pertaining to watershed institutions. It’s basically the same thing, really.
I’ve lived in Sacramento since the summer of 2002. The rest of my family lives in Northwestern Washington. They call me on a regular basis to laugh and taunt me saying: “Haha! We live somewhere awesome, and you don’t!”
I wish that every song had lyrical substance to it. I truly love all music, but it's difficult for me to tolerate songs that sputter nothing but self-congratulatory garbage. I’m also not partial to bands / artists that feel inclined to mention their name in ever song they sing (i.e. Limp Bizkit, or just about any rap artist from the 90s). While I’m at it, I can’t stand easy rhymes either. If you rhyme “love” with “dove” in a G-chord you’re probably not on my mp3 playlist.
I love movies, because I love stories. At some point I want to write my own book/screen play. True, those thoughts tend to really annunciate themselves when I’m inebriated and ambitious, but it’s the thought that counts.
My Philosophy: I believe everyone is a metaphor. For instance, I like to describe my life as being “tunnel-visioned”. In other words, I tend to focus on one thing at a time--and everything else just zooms past without me even knowing. Literally, my eyesight is fine and I have great peripheral--but stick me in a situation where I have to multi-task and juggle little issues, I’m not much good to anyone. I make up for it by being wonderful, likeable, and drunk. :o)
