About Me

I consider myself the luckiest woman alive because this past summer I married my best friend, Ronald. I've been a teacher for the past 15 years, 6 of those have been as a literacy leader. I love my job and the people I work with but hate living so far apart from my husband. Hopefully soon things will change. It's hard to believe but my daughter is now 22 years old. She's quite a unique individual, working a lot, dating Aaron, and spends time enjoying life. Porter, my lab, is the best!!! Even though he's 10 years old, he still has plenty of zest!

My Interests

For years I've been into weight training, running, and cycling. Even though I'm into health and fitness, I love to cook, create recipes, and bake. I enjoy sampling red and white dry wines, love to go to wineries. Traveling within the states is great but would like to travel abroad more often. I'd love to be fluent in spanish.

I'd like to meet:

Since I was a little girl, I've enjoyed the music of Barry Manilow, so meeting him would be fabulous! Lance Armstrong has been my idol, hero for a very long time. Not only would I love to meet him, I'd love to be able to ride along side him.

Music:

Being the youngest of five growing up, my older siblings played a variety of music, as did my parents. I'd consider myself to have a very eclectic taste in music. What I listen to on a daily basis depends on my mood. Recently got XM radio for my car, I'm loving it!

Movies:

I love many of the movies from the 80's, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles...classics in my opinion. I do enjoy some kiddie movies, Aladdin, Little Mermaid, all of Shrek, Monsters Inc.

Television:

Along with my sister, K2, I'm a huge fan of The Office.

Books:

Marley and Me was awesome! I did enjoy the books written by Augusten Borroughs too. Surprise, surprise, I've read all the books about Lance Armstrong.

Heroes:

Lance Armstrong...not only for his cycling abilities but for his strength as a cancer survivor.
