I grew up up In Indianapolis, Indiana. As a kid I was influenced by my second cousin, Ronnie Haig who was a local musician here in Indianapolis, Fountain Square area. For those of you who can remember the 50's, Ronnie had a hit song in April of 1958 that almost made the TOP 40 called "Don't You Hear Me Calling Baby". That same year he appeared on American Bandstand. Ronnie quotes" Here's the man that made Ronnie Haig whatever he is; Bouncin' Bill Baker, the first DJ to put a needle on his record at WIBC Radio, Indianapolis, Indiana.
I was heavily influenced by Ronnie's stardom and Rockabilly style. I was also Influenced by The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Pat Travers, KISS, Judas Priest, B.B. King, Chuck Berry and classic 70's rock.
With my love of music I began to learn to play the acoustic guitar. I was mainly self taught but I was also able to expand on my talents and learn by forming a garage band with friends, Tony Pierle and Jim Warren. They taught me more on the acoustic and how to play the electric guitar and bass guitar. Between the both of them they took me to another level, I was loaded and came out firing. From there I mainly played acoustic gigs with Tony Pierle around Indiana. After Tony and I stopped playing I hooked up with Mark Miller, a long time friend and began playing and writing songs with him. I have played at the Blues Fest in Bean Blossom three years in a row. I have also done guest sets around town with Mark Miller and local bands; "Johnny Rock", "Huck Finn Band", "Stone 10", "Into The Mystic", and "Blue Tear".
I am signed with a major record company, Roadshow Records and my music is being played all over Europe on 60 radio stations. I am with BMI as a Song Writer/Composer And have my own publishing company, "David Bryant Music" BMI. I also have my own private record label,"Plez Records".
Right now you can find me playing on the Southside of Indy in Greenwood and Franklin. I will be coming to a venue near you soon! There will be brand new material available very soon; as a matter of fact Tim Spainhower and I are currently in the studio cutting a new CD!
I want to thank my cousin Ronnie Haig for his advice and recording my music. Thanks Cuz, and especially my best friends and music partners Mark "Ladmo" Miller and Tim "Buster" Spainhower who I can't thank enough for their support and encouragement!! Thanks Ladmo and Buster!!!
Last and certainly not least I thank God for giving me the talent and the ability that He gave me! Without Him I can do nothing, and that just doesn't go for music!!!
