About Me

MORE SONG SAMPLES, DOWNLOADS, UPDATES, ETC. @: HTTP://WWW.PERSONAL.KENT.EDU/~BBUNTINGI am the band and the band is I. Ben Bunting, former captain of industry and now college instructor and dystopic folk-rocker. I wrote, recorded, and produced my first CD this past January ("Not California"), and am now currently writing and recording my second CD ("Ride"), while searching (apparently in vain) the length and breadth of the land for a band that will allow me to take my songwriting to the next level, or next several levels. I’ll be moving back to Pullman, Washington in the fall to teach more freshman composition courses, and setting up a studio in my spare room. I hope to also get a semi-regular live gig to supplement the time I’m going to spend writing and recording. Of course, plans change by their very nature so it’s very likely that I’ll end up learning to parasail, memorizing every episode of "House", or eating myself to death at Taco Tonto’s instead.

Sounds Like: A high-speed collision between Michel Foucault, Dylan Thomas, and a bunch of guitars. Also like whatever mood I’m in at the moment, whatever band I’m playing with at the moment, and however many words I can smash into any particular rhyme scheme at any given moment. But most of all, it sounds like the crazy and beautiful conundrum that is the human experience expressed through various types of jamz. CAUTION: SONGZ MAY ALSO SOUND LIKE A BOMB THAT BLOWS UP SAD PEOPLE.
Record Label: Self-produced
Type of Label: None
