I make songs about life. I like to blend old school hip-hop rhythm's with electronic synth leads topped with syncropated flows that will have your grandma saying "What it do baby!"

Redfoo , a Los Angeles native now living in Hollyweird Ca, has just finished his brand new EP... "Welcome To My World " Episode 1 . This self produced EP featuring Sexy Mama , is an example of true artistic freedom...." I expressed exactly what I wanted to on this EP. This time I didn't have any Record Label or Corporation telling me what I had to create, that's why the people feel this record so much....It's my soul coming through the speakers" says Redfoo .
Since age 3, Redfoo has been performing and playing music. His early inspirations were Rick James , The Temptations , and Run DMC to name a few. After buying a sampler and a computer based sequencing program (Cubase on the Atari) in 1992, Redfoo began to take his musical dreams seriously. He started producing local Hip-Hop acts in LA..... Dilated Peoples (their first demos), Vol 10 (Pistol Grip Pump Remix UK Jazz Version), and Ahmad . Redfoo under producer name Kendal (Co-wrote and produced the gold single "Back In The Day" (o.g. version) and 8 of 10 songs on Ahmad's self entitled release on Giant/Warner Records."That's when I gained my studio experience".... Redfoo remembers "I was so dedicated to that project, I stayed at the studio for 30 days straight. I slept under the mixing console, my mom would bring me clothes every other day and I would use the studio's lil' messed up shower that didn't have hot water...People thought I was crazy but I just couldn't leave until the mixes we perfect".
In 1994, Redfoo produced Coolio's hit "I Remember" ( the west cost remix), then formed his own group Redfoo & Dre' Kroon. Redfoo recalls, "We were signed with Jungle Records, (QD3's Label), then we got signed to Quest Records ,QD3's father Quincy Jones' Label, then left tthat label cause I wanted to control my own music". His music history continued when he partnered up with his friend Gavin and started an independent label. Redfoo & Dre' Kroon put out the " Balance Beam " album and did everything independent.....they had a couple of hot singles. " Life Is a Game of Chess" (remix) and the "The Freshest" feat. Evidence, DJ Revolution and Promise. "T hose singles charted on billboard and we sold a lot of vinyl but we never got paid from the distributors....so we went broke!"

" Life is a Game of Chess" was an underground classic which grabbed the attention of junior high school friend, Will-I-Am from the Black Eyed Peas . "Will asked me to record on the song "Duet" on their first Black Eyed Pea's album..."Will-I-Am is one of the most talented people I have ever met...He acted the same way in 7th grade as he does now. The only difference is now... he's rich bitch.... I think it's cool that I'm the only guest rapper on Black Eyed Pea's first album .....Chea!"
So now it's 2006 and Redfoo has formed his own label Redfoo Records and is releasing his debut Solo EP, Welcome To My World Episode 1 of 6...
